The week-long program under the titled " Meri Maati Mera Desh" has commenced today at Government Degree College Langate, marking the celebration of "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" - an eventful occasion to commemorate 75 years of India's independence. The program is scheduled to take place from August 9 to August 15, offering a diverse array of events and activities that embody the essence of freedom and unity. Inauguration and Pledge Ceremony: The program began with a significant inauguration ceremony, where the active participation of National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers was notable. Commencing with the rendition of the national anthem, the event transitioned to a pledge ceremony. Attendees, including students and officials, solemnly pledged to uphold the values of freedom, diversity, and unity that lie at the core of the nation's progress.

Week-Long Events and Activities: The program unfolds a comprehensive lineup of events to engage participants of various age groups and backgrounds:

9th of August - Pledge Day: The program begins with Pledge Day, marking the unified commitment of individuals to the ideals of unity and patriotism. This foundational event sets the tone for the days of celebration that follow.

10th August - Lecture on Social Awareness about Cultural Heritage: Dr. Abdul Rouf Bhat will deliver a lecture shedding light on social awareness about cultural heritage. This enlightening discourse aims to deepen the understanding of cultural significance in fostering a strong national identity.

11th August - Community Engagement: A Visit to Nearest Panchayat/Block/Halqa: Participants embark on visits to the nearest panchayat, block, or halqa, enhancing their understanding of local governance and community dynamics. This interaction fosters a sense of belonging and unity.

12th August - Quiz Competition: A quiz competition is organized, engaging participants in a stimulating intellectual exercise. This activity imparts knowledge about the nation's history, struggles, and achievements.

13th August - Painting Competition: A painting competition provides a creative platform for participants to express their interpretation of the nation's journey towards independence and unity.

14th August - Flag Hosting Preparation and National Anthem Singing: Participants engage in the preparation of the flag hosting ceremony and collectively sing the Indian National Anthem. This activity reinforces the spirit of patriotism and pride.

15th August - Flag Hosting and Independence Day Celebration:

The program culminates on Independence Day with a grand flag hoisting ceremony and a jubilant celebration. Dignitaries deliver inspirational speeches, and the community unites in joyous festivities. Conclusion: “Meri Maati Mera Desh" is a vibrant and immersive program designed to reignite the spirit of independence and unity among diverse segments of society.
